I watched this series because of the lead actor named Jo Jung-suk. He is so handsome in my eyes.

I watched Oh My Ghostess and You're the best Lee Song Shin co starring IU but I think, he excelled in this series. His acting versatility really shines. He plays  a reporter/anchor for SBC News (Hwa Shin) who has breast cancer discovered by his leading lady Pyo Na Ri played by Gong Hyo-jin. The leading lady is not a beauty but she is so funny. This series made me laugh and cry at the same time. The supporting actor named Go Kyung-pyo is also handsome but not as charismatic as Jo Jung-suk.

This series is a must watch. I highly recommend it. The soundtrack is also very nice especially this song entitled 'Bye, Autumn' by MYK aka SALTNPAPER.

You will surely enjoy it.

Mulan 2020

Spoiler alert! 

I watched this movie this afternoon and I liked it a little bit because for one Jet Li is starring in the movie as the emperor. Second, the movie is very colorful as expected of a Disney movie. Third, the action was quite good, although I was wondering why there were only a few people used in the movie.

Liu Yifei was quite a good actress as well although I was wondering why she put on makeup after shedding her armor and untying her bun, then going back and confessing she is a girl.

What stuck with me was loyal, brave and true then Mulan added devotion to family. I cried a lot during the movie. I realized after the movie that the emperor was Jet Li. I was shocked! 

He is one of my favorite Asian actors. Looking at him in the photo above, I don't recognize him at all but when I saw his name in the credits, I replayed the part where he is shown and true enough, it is him! Nice.

I can't help but compare it with the animated version. They used a phoenix while in the animation, there was a ghost dragon. I admit, I liked the animated version better. Even so, this movie was worth the watch.

Meow Meow Song

 I heard this song on the radio in the car and I was instantly intrigued. When I got home, I immediately searched for it in YouTube and I found out that it came out 2 years ago. I learned the song because for one, it's Chinese and I am teaching Chinese students and second, it's tune is catchy. I then started learning the song. Thank you to the one who posted the lyrics of the song, though there were parts that didn't match when I sang it alongside the music.

Meteor Garden 2018

I never get tired of watching this series. I am currently in Episode 35 out of 49. I couldn't help myself. Thank you Kissasian.sh. I blogged about the original Meteor Garden starring Jerry Yan. I cried and  laughed then. It's still the same with this one. The original setting was in Ying De College. Now it's in the Ming De University. I like the Daoming Si character still. Last time it was Jerry Yan. Now, its Dylan Wang. He is 21 years old. SO handsome.

He is the only character I like in this series. Anyone could easily fall for this guy. Haha. I am fangirling. I didnt like the Korean version titled 'Boys Over Flowers'. I like Lee Min Ho who played a character like Daoming Si. I didn't like Gom Jandi. So OA.

Yey! I finished watching the series. After watching this, I also reviewed the original Meteor Garden 2001. I definitely like the original more than the reboot version. However, I like the songs played in the 2018 version.

The part I also like was when they were in Canada. This was not in the original version. Shancai got lost in the snow and Daoming Si went out to find her.

This series is definitely worth watching. I am like a young girl. I like these sort of stories.

Spiderman: Far from Home

I just finished watching Spiderman and boy! I really enjoyed the movie. The effects were awesome. That's what people expect from Marvel. What I like about the movie was the humor. It made me laugh. Tom Holland did justice to his role as Spiderman. There were also some unexpected things happening though I kinda expect Jake Gylenhaal to be the bad guy and so he was. When you watch the movie make sure to watch it until the end of the credits. That's what's expected in a Marvel production. Some surprises at the end. What's cooler is the 3D printed Spiderman suit.

He wore this black suit when he was in Prague battling the fire elemental because he said Spiderman is from Queens not Europe.

Overall I give this movie five stars because I enjoyed watching it. Go to the theater and watch it.

GOT Season 8 Episode 3

If you haven't watched GOT, then don't watch the behind the scenes video. You will get spoiled. This is just my opinion but this episode was so awesome. I was literally holding my breath while I was watching it. It does not disappoint. I am a movie buff and even though this was made for TV, it was like a full pledged movie to me. I really appreciate what these people have made. The lengths they go to to achieve that realistic effect. I watched it twice because it was not so clear the first time I saw it. 

I was shushing my family because I wanted to concentrate on every scene. I wanted to hear what they are going to say. I wanted to feel what they were feeling. I cried a little when Daenery's loyal protector Jorah Mormont died. Looking forward to what's going to happen next.

Captain Marvel

Spoiler Alert

The movie was good. Not that good. It was like after I watched it, there was no ahh, ohhh, whoa, wow! I immediately compared it to Aquaman and Aquaman was a better movie. There were no awesome effects. The movie explained how Captain Marvel came to be. Samuel Jackson was also in the movie as Nick Fury. Though it depicted him as a very young version of himself. I think the story happened before Avengers was formed. How Nick Fury formed the avengers was shown here.

I like that there was a cat because the cat looks like our cat but chubbier. Brie Larson was a good actress and she was funny too. I like that  the movie injected some humor because it somehow makes the movie not bad.

I like the scene in the train where Captain Marvel knew who the Krull was and the people were stopping her from hurting the old woman because the Krull is a shape shifting alien and it transformed to an old woman, but Captain Marvel met the old woman as she was getting on the train so.

Her suit looked like Captain America's suit and yeah I like her Alien technology because she was able to transform to whatever color. It turns out that she had some Alien blood in her system and when Marvel's core exploded, power transferred to her so she's very powerful.

I like how she transforms when she puts her helmet on.

She left a sort of communicator to Fury and in the last Avengers movie, Fury was contacting Captain Marvel through that communicator. Now the Avengers who were left, Captain America, one of Iron Man's friends, Ant Man kept re sending a signal to Captain Marvel and then, she appeared. No surprise there. They should have at least seen something on the monitor that she is coming but no, she magically appeared. No fanfare, nothing. 

All in all, the movie was good. I am just looking forward to the next Avengers movie.
