After reading the story, how did you feel? Me, I felt, yeah, but I guess what I searched were harmless. No secrets. It's fine if Google knows what I searched. I'd want to know what I searched when I turned 60. So, till then. However, for those people who're paranoid about these things, by all means do so. Delete your search history. It's up to you.
