WOODLAWN

Let me just start with this: There is only ONE WAY and HE IS JESUS. This movie was truly remarkable. It's about the racial discrimination of blacks by the whites. The setting was in Woodlawn located in Baltimore county Maryland USA. It's the name of a public high school, where integration was required by the pres. of the US. Integration of blacks and whites in the same school. As such, there were blacks playing with the whites in high school football.

It's a Christian drama. I found it Miraculous that the entire Woodlawn football team became Christians. God is truly amazing. The Huffman football team their adversaries in football also became Christians. The Holy Spirit worked through Hank Erwin, who is the father of the directors of the movie, the Erwin Brothers. I cried a lot during the movie. I'm such a softie. I didn't know that there was a Jesus Revolution in 1973.

Going back to the movie, it's also about Tony Nathan who shone because of Jesus in his life. He was a running back of the University of Alabama. He runs so fast. He was scouted by Bear Bryant (Jon Voight) in the movie to play for his team. But before he came to play for the big leagues, he was a high school football superstar and a Christian. Nic Bishop (Tandy Gerelds)plays the coach of the high school and he was the one who recognized Tony Nathan's talent. He allowed him to play amidst complaints from the whites. Th football game is quite exciting as well. I found myself shouting and cheering Tony Nathan to run faster to the goal.

The movie is very inspiring. It's about God's miracle of uniting different people. It's about hope, love, forgiveness and never giving up. It's a must watch movie. Just prepare your hankies both for your eyes and noses.

90 Minutes in Heaven

This movie is about a pastor who met an accident and died. It's so heartwarming and it really touched my heart. Another minister who was held up by the pastor's accident went forward and asked the medic if he could go to the pastor's car and pray for him. He reasoned within himself that God wanted him to pray for Pastor Don Piper even if he was already pronounced dead. He went inside the trunk and bent the chair and touched his shoulder and prayed for him. And Don Piper lived.

During his death, he was brought to this light place, he thought it was heaven and there he was shown different people, some young, some old. He didn't understand it.

When he was awake, he was brought to the hospital of course. His family had great difficulty with the kids and with money for his hospitalization. he stayed long in the hospital because, he could not walk. His wife stayed by his side. When it came for him to come home, his wife had to work and he was left in the house but his wife formed a Don Patrol composed of members of his church who took turns watching over him. The when he was strong enough to stand up and walk, he went to church. There he found someone just like him, couldn't walk and seemed to be having the same struggles as he did while he was recovering in the hospital. He walked over to that young man and talked to him. God gave him a revelation. He was brought back because he could help people with the same struggles he had. It turned out the people he saw when he was in heaven were the people he would help and there were many.

God truly works in mysterious ways. He has a purpose for everything that is happening in our lives. Watch the movie and be thankful for what God is doing in your life. I know I am. This movie is also a drama so prepare for tears.

Steve Jobs

Yeah, this is a movie about Steve Jobs. It's a drama. My tears freely flowed of their own accord when I watched the movie. I feel that I now understand why Steve Jobs was like he is. An asshole. No pun intended.

Michael Fassbender looked so well portraying Steve Jobs. I didn't know that there was a Joanna Hoffman in Steve's life. It turns out that she was the only one who could stand up to Steve Jobs. The role was played by Kate Winslet and she nailed it. She's a great actress. I totally believed she was Joanna. Lisa was also in the movie and it was the last part where I really shed tears. I feel for Lisa. Growing up without a father.

I have long been fascinated with Steve Jobs ever since I saw The Pirates of Silicon Valley. I got to know him more in this movie. He is indeed an artist. He continuously denied being the father of Lisa but in the end, he accepted that fact. Imagine thinking up of an acronym for the name of his kid? Local Integrated System Architecture (LISA).

Andy Hertzfeld, a computer scientist for Apple under the Macintosh team. In the foreground photo with Steve Wozniak on the left. I didn't know he was an important part of the Mac. The movie brought that to light.

The movie's scenes were typically shot during the launch of new products in which Steve Jobs was at the helm. The launch of the Macintosh, the black box (for Next), and the iMac for Apple. I admit I learned more about the history of Apple in this movie. I enjoyed watching it eventhough it brought me to tears. I didn't want to stop watching. It took a tight grip of my attention for two hours and 2 minutes. I give it 5 stars.
